    The Payroll & HRIS Administrator will be responsible for processing payroll for 300+ employees across multiple states, reviewing and performing payroll audits, and serving as a point of contact for questions about payroll policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for managing the data integrity of the HRIS system and finding ways to optimize its performance.

    Additionally, this role is a key member of the HR team providing general HR support and guidance on initiatives related to talent management, employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, learning and development, safety, reporting, and compliance.

  • The following essential functions represent the primary work performed; however, other responsibilities could be expected that not detailed here but fall within the scope of this role.

    • Compile payroll data, process and transmit payroll for all J&E companies and R&B Grinding locations in an accurate, timely manner in accordance with established payroll processing calendars, and state and federal regulations.

    • Assist managers, timekeepers, and schedulers with systems to ensure accurate time accounting for all employees

    • Process multi-state/location payroll information on a weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly basis, as well as bonuses and off-cycle checks when necessary

    • Performs weekly overtime audits

    • Processing Wage Garnishments and Child Support requests

    • Prepares follow-up for stop payment requests, manual check requests, and associated system updates

    • Research employee payroll inquiries and responds to questions regarding pay policies/procedures

    • Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with employees

    • Manage employee data record changes such as wage or position changes, new hire and terminations

    • Maintain employee record integrity, all data is up to date, accurate, and complete

    • Organizing payroll storage and documentation

    • Enter and extract data from multiple HR Systems for reporting, compliance, and metrics purposes

    • Keeps abreast of the payroll processing system and changes in wage/tax laws, and applies changes as appropriate

    • Perform application upgrades, as well as provide training and technical support

    • Develop and implement new processes and systems for efficient HR management

    • Optimize HRIS processes, integra HRIS data and run queries

    • Ensure the efficient recording and secure storage of HR metrics, including attendance and employee performance data

    • Perform audits on HR processes and documents, including hiring, termination of service, and payroll administration, when required

    • Keep track of technological advancements and trends in the field of HRIS

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field or the equivalent amount of training and hands on experience

    • 3+ years’ experience in a relevant payroll, HR or other related role for 300+ employees, multi-state preferred

    • Familiar with ADP Workforce Now Time & Attendance, Paylocity, or isolved HRIS systems, preferred

    • Proven work experience as an HRIS analyst or similar role

    • High degree of integrity and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and build trusted relationships at all levels of the organization

    • Ability to create business process documents and present ideas or train others in clear and collaborative ways

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    • Experience in analyzing HRIS and HR performance metrics

    • Ability to keep pace with technical innovation and trends in HRIS systems and HR reporting

    • Ability to travel to multiple sites throughout the Twin Cities routinely. Ability to travel to facilities in Wisconsin, if necessary.
