• Properly and safely load and unload raw materials in precision grinding machinery; respond to machine malfunctions, and abide by ISO requirements and safety operating procedures

• Maintain part geometries and surface finishes of close tolerances on inner and or outer diameter’s; display proficiencies taking measurements; adjust work holding and grinding wheels to compensate measurement findings; adhere to internal quality assurance procedures and processes

• Must be able to use precision gages and instruments, read inspection documents, record irregularity findings and make decisions for part quality, and perform unassisted adjustments to grinding wheels including proper selection and wear dressing

• Grinding process types: Centerless (thru feed), I.D. (Internal), O.D. (Outer), Between centers, In Feed, End Feed, Blanchard, and Cylindrical

• Ability to do repetitive work with a broad range of parts in high mix/ low volume production

• Perform regular equipment cleaning and light maintenance tasks for lubricants and coolant

• Recognize, deploy and properly use work holding/ grinding wheel adjustments based on close tolerance precision measurement

• Understand and have the ability to make other machine adjustments as instructed

• Interpret quality requirements and use an array of gauges to meet tolerance requirements

• Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement culture including lean initiatives

• Possess good problem-solving skills and ability to read required gages and tools

• Prior precision grinding background with mechanical experience desirable

• Lift up to 40 pounds without assistance, reaching, bending and standing for long periods of time is also required

• Previous experience with Numerical Control (NC), Computer Numerical Control (CNC) or conversational controls knowledge an added plus.
