At J&E, our metal stamping department is comprised of more than 15 presses rated at up to 250 tons. Along with progressive die, compound die, and transfer die stamping, our capabilities include continuous strip, coining, and several other precision metal stamping techniques. With press bed sizes that range from 16.0” x 26.0” up to 48.0” x 48.0”, we have the capacity to stamp small parts as well as those with dimensions as large as 40.0” in length x 24.0” in width or up to 24.0” in diameter. We work with sheet metal mostly consisting of aluminum, beryllium copper, brass, and several types of steel, and we process sheet or coil measuring up to .120” in thickness. Our manufacturing plant contains a well-equipped tool and die shop, which allows us to build all necessary tooling in-house.
With our metal stamping capabilities, we manufacture close tolerance parts with complex geometries, intricate detailing, and shape-critical and surface-critical features. When requirements call for deburring, finish machining or powder coating, we are equipped to handle that in-house. We utilize CMMs and other devices for dimensional inspection, and our quality assurance program is ISO certified. Along with filter components, furniture parts, and precision metal stampings for medical equipment, examples of items we produce include sensor elements, thrust washers, custom shapes, and many others.
As a company that offers both sheet metal fabrication and metal stamping all under one roof, we can run cost comparisons to evaluate whether stamping is the most economical route based on aspects such as part design, material, volume requirements, and tooling costs. For product development projects, combining our sheet metal fabrication and metal stamping capabilities allows us to produce prototype parts, and easily transition them to small scale production, then ramp up to large volume runs as the product lifecycle matures.
Our experience spans many markets with stringent quality requirements, and we comply with an extensive range of industry standards. To learn more about our metal stamping capabilities, contact us directly.
