How to Increase Efficiency and Sustainability in Sheet Metal Production?

DEVELOPING MORE FLEXIBLE, EFFICIENT, AND SUSTAINABLE SHEET METAL FABRICATION SERVICES

Precision fabrication technology combined with streamlined CAD design and engineering systems enable manufacturers like J&E to maximize both quality and efficiency throughout the sheet metal production process.

In the modern world of metalworking and fabrication services, automated production technology is increasingly put to use. When utilized in conjunction with advanced metalworking tools such as J&E’s P2 Lean panel bender and HAN’s fiber laser cutting system, automation accommodates your project with maximum speed, throughput, and manufacturing consistency.

AUTOMATION IS THE KEY TO EFFICIENT MANUFACTURABILITY

Engineered manufacturability combined with cutomation can substantially reduce the labor costs of your production. Moreover, in some applications, automated technology can work around the clock, offering “lights out” manufacturing capabilities for ongoing mid-volume and high-volume productions.

However, increased production speed and throughput are only one side of the equation. Controlled by precision CNC systems which are guided by detailed CAD geometries, automated manufacturing solutions also facilitate higher quality and consistency for your products.

Our Automated Manufacturing Capabilities

At J&E Companies, our manufacturing services include both automated and manual spinning processes, enabling us to efficiently tackle low-volume and high-volume projects. Our facility includes an extensive stock of standard tooling, and we have the capability to build custom tooling for our automated systems to deliver the utmost in metalworking versatility.

As an ISO 9001:2015 certified American manufacturer, our robust quality control system utilizes an extensive range of dimensional measurement methods, including automated multisensory systems, gauges, and a range of specialized instruments which constantly perform quality checks in-process and after final production.

The result is a fully optimized production process, strategically automated to be both lean and responsive.

Salvagnini P2lean Panel Bender

Our facility utilizes Salvagnini P2lean panel bender which substantially increases speed and productivity through automatic bending and handling cycles. This advanced panel bending system combines automation options with universal bending tools to provide the utmost in product flexibility.

Powered by Salvagnini’s proprietary MAC2.0 system, the machine automatically adapts to variations in metal thickness. This automated process ensures a consistent component geometry and precise bends on each part, carried over to every batch.

The P2lean’s fully automated bending ensures precision consistency with every product that is processed. At J&E, we use this cutting-edge panel bender to manufacture a wide variety of commercial and industrial panel products as well as custom cabinet enclosures.

HAN’s Fiber Laser Cutting System

J&E’s HAN’S laser cutter is a state-of-the-art fiber optic cutting system that performs high-speed precision metal cuts in order to maximize both throughput and dimensional consistency.

Our HAN’s laser cutter outputs 8kW of power and utilizes IPG Photonics fiber optic technology. That translates to cutting speeds which are twice as fast as a standard CO2 unit at roughly half the cost. This advanced machine is just one more way that J&E maximizes efficiency throughout the sheet metal fabrication process.

EFFICIENT AMERICAN METAL FORMING SERVICES – ISO 9001:2015 CERTIFIED

J&E strives to deliver uncompromised quality and efficiency to your project through state-of-the-art automated technology and metalworking equipment. J&E is an ISO 9001:2015 certified domestic manufacturer committed to responsive Six Sigma business practices and lean, sustainable production solutions.
